    Hammer Drill Bit

Posted by Scott on Sep 20th 2023

If you set up match stages and have to pin/nail down target stands, walls, etc., this bit, along with a hammer drill, is the best invention in the history of action shooting. It saves so much labor it’s made setup almost a pleasure. I can’t recommend it more highly.

one of those products that you don't think you need until you use it. Faster and easier than pounding stakes in by hand , time and energy saver. definitely would recommend

    Hammer Drill Bit

All I can think is how did anyone put on matches without these. Game changers for sure, took our set up time down by half and does not kill the helpers.

    F*** Hammers

Remember having to hammer down nails while building stages before you shoot? Those days are gone. I’d post a video, so instead you’ll have to trust me. This is the easiest $40 + tool you’ll ever decide to buy.

    Works very well

I have the first iteration and the second iteration at my club. They work very well. We are using Ryobi hammer drills with them. Makes driving nails so much easier. When the ground is soft, it's slightly slower than a hammer or slide hammer, but it's far lower impact on your body.

    Absolutely Incredible!

This product works as advertised. I'm able to drive 8" nails into compacted gravel. Per Nathan at SSI I paired this bit up with a Dewalt DCH133B powered by 20V 5aH batteries. Word on the street is you can lay down and average 6-stage local with just one battery. So far it appears this entire rig is lighter than most sledge hammers and slide hammers and unlike a slide hammer this doesn't seem to mind if the nail shank is bent or if the head is badly deformed. Just like using a hammer or a drill, you want to go slow at first to ensure the nail is going into the ground straight but once it's started you can go FULL SEND. Just lean on it with your own weight and let it do the work. It's that easy! Will try to come back here and give a long term review once I have some time and mileage on this set up. Lastly, I want to say that Nathan and the team at SSI provided phenomenal customer service. He answered all my questions promptly and provided photos and videos. Even those these were out of stock when I first contacted him, he told me when they would be back in stock, which ended up being accurate, then he not only personally notified me via email but also by text! I missed the email that day, but not the text, and luckily was able to purchase (4) to try out. Amazing product and great buying experience. Big fan!

I won't ever drive nails with a hammer again, makes setup so much faster and easier .
