SSI Tungsten Slug for GLOCK

Let me preface with the fact that I am by no means an active competitor with pistols. I do however shoot them quite a bit can carry one every day. My fall, winter, spring edc is a 19X appendix carry. I refuse to compensate or port a pistol I use to protect myself however I do want it to run the absolute best it possibly can. Enter the SSI 4.7oz grip weight. This thing is incredible. I ran it side my side with a 19x that had a ramjet and a PMM single port and my factory 19x with just a grip weight shot as flat if not flatter. I would without a doubt recommend this to any and everybody who wants to get every bit of performance out of their Glock. It does not work with the SLR mag well even after modifications to the magwell.

There is no other product that adds as much weight to the grip as this tungsten slug. Took a little material off of the bottom to perfectly fit with my magwell. Couldn’t be happier.

I’ve been waiting months for SSI to release this. It absolutely did not disappoint. The gun almost feels like it’s got a loaded mag when the grip weight is installed. It’s levels out my 19X incredibly well. I’m somebody who refuses to comp or port a gun for duty. This gives that recoil management I was looking for but does not effect the reliability whatsoever. I’ll absolutely be buying more in the future as I build out more pistols.

What was delivered matched description. Install took less than 2 minutes. I now have a G34.5 that weighs 31.5 ozs. (w/ tungsten guide rod)

I’ve had one and been shooing it for about 9 months now in a 34 gen 5. It balances the gun very well and helps absorb recoil. My one critique is the polymer plug that was included is beaten up from reloads as well as it pushes the retaining pin down on TTI mag extension. If there was an option to upgrade to a steel or brass retaining plug, I would buy it.

I love this product, i only wish they made one for the G19. With a tungsten rod and this plug the pistol doesnt move. These are great training devices when you are new to the glock platform. I still run them on a daily carry. I love the weight

This product was as advertised! Worked great and fit perfectly in my Glock 19X. The screw to secure it was a little bulky, but I replaced it with less bulky one and it was seamless with the grip of my 19X. Highly recommend!

I've been shooting Glock's competitively for the last 16 years. I mostly shoot a 34 9mm. This SSI Tungsten Slug is one of the most effective after-market parts that I've experienced. I installed it in my G34 gen5 that is set-up for Production Division. This Slug's 4.7oz weight gives a Glock the right amount of extra weight where most beneficial, in the grip area. I've shot this 34 with the SSI Tungsten Slug in two matches so far, and I absolutely can feel the difference that the extra weight provides over the standard 2.3oz brass plugs that other companies offer. The felt recoil is now more stable and consistent, which results in a more clear and precise sight picture. The fit and finish of this Tungsten Slug is perfect. It is an easy install. When installed, it DOES NOT rattle, like some brass plugs from other company's that I've tried in the past. I have already purchased a second Tungsten Slug from SSI, for my other 34 set-up for Carrry Optics. If I can talk SSI into offering one for a gen3, I'll purchase a third unit and install it into my 35 .40, which I shoot in Limited Division.
